Every time I go to Vail, alone, I get totally lost and end up on lots of cat tracks.... but if I go there with a local, it suddenly seems much awesomer? Therefore it loses a star for it's ability to completely baffle my sense of direction. I mean, come on, there's that lift that you take downhill?

Plus it's not that steep.

The back bowls are pretty fun tho, especially on a powder day, or with corn snow (and they kinda face south, so pretty unfun if you're in the freeze part of a freeze/thaw)... and blue sky basin has some fun natural terrain, including natural halfpipes and drops.
