on the gear section, can you also put a way for you to be able to click wmns v mens so by brand, by type of gear, and by wmns/mens? it'd make things alot easier.

And maybe we can throw up a picture for each product? that might be time consuming...

not sure about the dividing things up in mns / wmns might get too complicated.

Didn't peruse the whole thread but a classifieds section would be nice.

I think that the most important thing about online communities is moderating how people conduct themselves.

I call them "Trolls".

"Trolls" go around posting destuctive comments, take posts off topic, are pedantic and just look for ways to attack people.

Most places I have found online end up filled with these sorts of people. If you are moderating, you shouldn't be so worried about people posting a link to their website and instead worry about curbing the number of trolls.

Imagine a big fat angry troll entering a village of happy relaxed people, how long do you think that village would stay relaxed for?

For me it is the main reason that I will leave a community site and never go back.

You want to foster the helpful, informative people and curb the destructive ones.

I'd just like to also say that it seems your doing a good job so far. :)

actually It will be nice to have some companies donating gear for giveaways??? will bring a lot of traffic and spread the word.
Good for business on all ends. Since it looks that members review and rate gear, it's only logical for the companies to donate gear for the community.

thanks for the thoughts about trolls, Happy. i feel the same way and i've been trying to encourage the community to grow organically. it's been cool to see how many people are willing to help out in all kinds of ways, from moderating the discussion, to helping spread the word about this place, to helping develop new features.
