I know first hand how expensive insurance is here in the US, but hospital costs are through the roof as well... it's tough.
who of you guys have proper insurance or just accident insurance?
Did you ever need it/ use it??

@Spyke, That is dirt cheap. My insurance costs over $1100/month and then only covers 80% of the bill.
I know! that's the difference between the US and the rest of the world so why the hell doesn't my Dutch insurance covers me expenses here in Canada.
Tell you something better, normally I should be covered by the province and to be fully FULLY covered will only you cost you CAN$120 extra a month!

yeah the US needs to spend it's money way different. Instead of pumping billions in a war why not spend it on health-care, education, jobs and more vacation days. It's a beautiful country, I like the ppl but the system isn't right, hope I haven't offended anyone :-)
OH btw everyone in Ontario is covered by the province! but then again you don't want to live there, haha.

You know what's better than insurance? Learning how to set broken bones and dislocations yourself. I've even cut myself open on occasion to remove things and sometimes I'll do my own stitches or just glue it shut.
yup, I'm in Saskatchewan (canada) and everyone is covered 100% by the province... It's a pretty decent system, of course it has it's problems too. I couldn't even imagine the extra cost of insurance, but that being said, it's probably worth the investment. I'd be broke by now if I had to pay for all the broken bones and torn ligaments that snowboarding has caused me over the years...
i was in the military. tri-care is THE SHIZNIT!!!
i totaled a car and was taken away in an ambulance to a civilian hospital ER for a bunch of xrays and some CT scan to my head piece and some pain relievers.
cost to me ZERO DOLLARS! sweet
but when i broke my collarbone at keystone last january i paid $100 to go to the on mountain clinic. i received a cheap ass sling and a prescription for 30 vicodin. i had to go down to dillon to fill the scrip, and the pharmacy was already closed for the evening. so i had to wait until the next day, after work, to go fill it. oh yeah, and an xray, which was an additional $25 to be interpreted by some third party. i dont have any training in that field, but i can look at the pic and see plain as day that the bone had a gap ion it where there shouldnt have been. fucking rip off man.

Yea, the XSI site needs some work. But it's definitely not a scam and is 100% legit. Coverage is through a major provider, Conseco insurance, which has been around for 30 years. Why do you refuse to believe it? I need some real feedback.
