Little late don't you think, they're already into year 2.

yes, Angry, I know, I saw the Kass commercials (the beatles trippy one)....but all I'm saying is the boots look slick, just not in the color I like.

Aside from the boots, I will have a hard time justifying buying any nike snowboard apparel over current industry leaders though.

I wouldn't buy them they're where boots were 10 years ago.

I dont get it, if nike boots are where boots were 10 years ago then the leader now must be where boots were 8 years ago then. Industry leader has to be 32 and what do they offer thats different? Boa, fast track and maybe some lighter materials, but somehow still to have the most returns every year cause their shit falls apart(i still love em tho). Aren't nike and 32 both sole technology? Im sure they cant be that bad, they devote all their time to just boots unlike burton, forum, salomon, rome and all board comapnies that just try to make money on other products. Vans and DC have always had pretty solid boots and have pretty much been dedicated to that, I just dont get what makes them so many years ahead nike, and what companies up to date?

People forget this is Nikes second attempt to make snowboard boots, they tanked in the 90's and they'll tank again they have one of the worst buy ins to carry them I've ever seen. In order to carry NIke Snowboard you have to carry the full Nike SB line. This year they created their boots using an untreated suede which if it gets wet turns into a sponge, they used a lesser quality foam regardless of what they tell you, and their internal locking harness is just a traditional lace. In terms of fashion they're solid, but over all quality and function is horrible. Plus they're doing what every company that has ever ultimately failed is doing, they are buying every big name they can, which doesn't mean shit when the product sucks. Offer me a million dollar contract I'll wear it and say it's great too.

32 boots are offering intuition foam that by intuitions standards is the lowest level, in the grand scheme of Sole Technologies their boot division is about 5% of the company and they don't really care because they're so into their skate shoes.

DC snow division is such a tiny part of that company compared to skate and apparel it's rediculous. Word on the street Vans is pulling the plug on the snow division after 2010 which I could see VF corp actually doing.

Salomon was the industry leader number 1 boot manufacturer in the world till about 3 seasons ago they've steadily declined. Right now K2 and Ride are the ones destroying the boot market.
