I fail to see how anything equipment wise could really be cheating. Can you really cheat if the only prize your getting is a good time?? I'd be willing to wager anyone who's actually competing in contests would be able to do the same things on a good board regardless of camber profile.

And even it turns out that RC really gives you a huge advantage in contests, then all the competitors will use them, so no one will be at a disadvantage. (Except a manufacturer that only made old-school-cambered boards. And why would they do that?)

It's not cheating. Technology evolves, just like everything else.

i read that today too, and its funny, cuz my buddy has the Evo-R, and thats exactly what he said, like cheating.. so yea, can't wait to get me hands on some of that reverse camber...

I'm done with camber. Rocker, Flat, or reverse is the way to go.

camber is the new rocker. i just got a new board last week and i went back to camber for it. palmer andy finch. i like it a lot more cause its so much more solid on kickers and landings than my park rocker. holds a better edge too

Wait you're comparing a signal park rocker to something with camber? The park rocker is possibly the worst rocker ever invented.

There are huge difference's between RC and Camber. The people that are really into the RC are beginners, powder hounds or rail junkies.... Try riding a pipe with RC or hitting a 80ft jump, its just not gonna happen like a camber deck. Kids are loving RC because it makes their press look so much more pressed out. ,

Camber decks are still much more better than RC in my opinion. Maybe after 17yrs of strapping in I would wanna become lazy... but I still love to load my edge. Much more stable at high speeds and much more control in the pipe and off jumps over RC. You can try to argue this all you want, but 90+% of pro's are still running camber decks.....

Now, every brand is trying to do their own RC program.... Some are the worst ideas ever and some work really well. At the end of the day, I feel RC is kinda what the snowboard industry needed to make a little boost. Its not a bad thing if its making horrible snowboarders ride better!

I hate that argument that you can't pop like you can on a cambered deck. I have 2 friends doing 1080 double corks and double back flip late 180's off 80 foot jumps daily on them. I can still air just as high on a R.C deck out of the pipe as I can on a cambered deck. You just have to adapt the way you ride.

I will agree there are some seriously rushed rockers out there that I'm like WTF is this piece of crap.

So that's 2 dudes out of how many snowboarders? and if they are throwing down like that, why are they not in top shred flicks?

RC is doing good things for the snowboard industry like what Shape Skis did for the Ski Industry.... Its not a bad thing, but there are limits to what the RC decks can offer right now. Still new Tech that has to be refined a bit so you do get the best of both worlds. Just like when shape skis came out, they had super huge shovels as their tips, now they are much more toned down and redefined.

I have been giving & ridding RC with an open mind, but at the end of the day, switching your riding style after so many years doesn't happen over night.
