There are a ton of great mountains in the US. I'm contemplating going to work and live at one. Which one is the best and why? I know there are a bunch of people who do this on Shred Union so give me the dish!
mount snow is so sick. the park is amazing. if your not that into the park, there is still a lot to ride. the north face has a lot of steep sunbrook is warmer than the rest of the mtn and is kinda unknown to the out of towners. over all its boss

Don't work a resort. I mean, maybe you should just for the experience... but bottom line: If you want to ride as much as possible, move to a resort town (any resort that tickles your fancy), get a night job, and buy a pass.

Lous right ... when you work for the resort you cant call in sick on a pow day .. you cant go ride instead of work that extra shift they scheduled you for and they will hold that free pass over your head till the last minute of the last day of the season plus they dont pay crap. Now if you want to snow bum it and live the simple life try Tahoe or Summit County Colorado. If you want to have a career type job and a lil house etc and still be close to the mtns Id say Salt Lake, Denver, Sacramento,Portland, Reno, or LA/SoCal

park crew & patrol exempt. to an extent. any other job like lift ops, ski school, and f&b will give u minimal free time to ride

My past favorites:
Jackson Hole (best terrain- awesome park now)
Alpine Meadows (close to the real world - nice mix of everything)
Mammoth (killer park and terrain + skatepark)

Work in a kitchen so you can ride all day and (afford to) eat at night.

Breck is pretty rad. Northstar is super fun. Keystone/Beaver Creek/Vail are all great as well.

mammoth. loved it. I'd like to work out in Europe this season, anyone have any idea if it's the same as working in the US- as far as gettin jobs, the system etc. I know you need to be certified and I didn't think I'd be at a resort again where I'd need my certification but little did I know. I'm down for anything, I just wanna ride all winter, this time somewhere else.
