Okay, this is an interesting one. The place I am renting is without power. Just spoke to the lady and she has no idea when it's coming back on. That's a wrinkle. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUK.

ouch where are you renting? i really really hope its not the rental above my apartment, then i wouldnt have power either - no good. yesterday parts of town lost power but it was back on within an hour or two. just got good news from one of our drivers tho - its raining where im at in north springfield, but its apparently straight dumping in ludlow

Was renting a cool little house up on Farm Road, about 3 miles from the base area. The owner was telling me that there are two power suppliers, CVPS and Ludlow Power. She has CVPS which is likely more problematic than Ludlow power. I think her power has been out for a while so if you had yours this morning you should be fine.

oh okay, good for me not so much for you. its never fun to get home from work and the lights won't turn on. i think it might be through ludlow power - looking at CVPS' coverage map, there's apparently a hole over ludlow. hopefully which ever company it is can fix it before we get slammed again this weekend

I am sure something will work out. I have a few back-up plans in the works. I do not anticipate missing the snow of the season because of a pesky thing like power. That would be lame.

Excellent. Where is your home made kicker? You just riding around with a shovel and digging where you feel?

Thanks for the local weather report. NYC had snow turning into rain. Just two more days.

my parking lot - through the winter the plowed snow has just built up, so i built a kicker, only about 2 and a half feet tops, at the bottom of a 10-12 foot pile of snow - drop in down that ramp and hit it. its not much, but i dont get home from work til well after the mountain is closed, and its under a street light so i can at least do something during the week. looks like last nights rain pretty much took care of it, hopefully today/tonight/tomorrows snow will give me some more to work with
