Just used this board this weekend, so I'm still breaking it in and getting used to it. I have it in a 153 which is a stretch coming from a 157 Lib Tech Travis Rice, but I wanted a short park deck so this seemed like a good deal.

The first thing I noticed was that the edges were really catchy due to either it not being detuned from the factory or the tri-radial sidecute that Never Summer advertises. But by Sunday it wasn't a big deal and I got used to it. Being a east coast rider, the sidecut was smooth on ice and nothing to get to scared about.

The One Ball Jay Wax held up for the weekend, but factory wax doesn't last too long. I make it a habit of waxing after every two days or so to keep things fast so I'm going to keep tabs or how well it holds wax, but it seems like it'll be a wax every two days type of thing.

Flex seems really good and pop is ample, although not as much as my old DH (although I haven't really ridden a board quite a poppy as that one). I'm not great at buttering, but presses are pretty much effortless. I remember riding a Banana and although it was just as easy to press, the EVO wasn't as loose as a Banana, which is exactly what I wanted.

Weight is good and swing weight is great, but this is compared to longer/heavier boards that I'm used to. I did have a little bit of problems adjusting to landing with a short board and becoming unbalanced in the nose and tail, so although you want to go bigger, having a board shorter than normal comes with conditions.

★★★★

Def with you on that factory wax. took it out for the first time on pow(east coast, but still was 7-8inches fresh) and had to wax the next day. butterings a breeze, and one thing i was concerned with was my landings on this board but had no trouble stomping it.
