The original Darkside Snowboard Shop opened in Killington, Vermont in 1989. We now have three shops in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Darkside, One of the hardest backed shops there is. I mean Ed Wall Sr. is DS for life. You can see him in mountain labs 1.5 running his DS sweatshirt with the sleeves cut off. Darkside is owned by one of the greatest guys out there, Bill Langlands. He rides as much as any other kid in the shop and never misses a pow day. Bill has kept snowboarding cool and makes working at a snowboard shop something of an envy of most people. How many kids come in and apply every year? Who the hell knows, A lot. Three awesome dudes manage the shops. Aaron Carr, Geoff Murchie, And Ian Singleton Aka "Ebo". Ebo runs the Darkside Stowe Shop. The building is actually an old dairy barn made in the early 1900's. That part is a lie; I have know frickin clue when the place was built. But it's still rad looking. Jeff Murchie runs the Okemo Darkside, a pretty badass place. It has a super core feeling inside and out. Like if you say something wrong you might get waffle sole prints all over your ass. Just kidding, kind of. Aaron Carr is the one making the calls around Darkside Killington. An east coast legend on the shred stick. If you come in I'm sure you'll catch him helping a costumer or doing something that managers do, like keeping his so called employees from doing little to nothing. If you ever call here for an internet question you'll get the pleasure of talking to Mike. One of the funniest guys I've have ever met, so expect a little humor in your phone call. Feel free to thank him for getting your gear in boxes and shipped that day the order is placed. Just don't get mad or take it personal if there is something obscene drawn on your box. As for Darkside employee's, well... You probably wont find another shop with a motlier crew. All good people for the most part, just don't leave your girlfriend's in the shop alone. Every person that works at Darkside is a snowboarder. So when you're asking questions chances are you're going to get a little knowledge. So If you ever come to Vermont make it a point to come into the Darkside, or if your doing the route one hundred tour knockout all three. Keep snowboarding cool!
